Film Noir: The Black Rose

Story

Many people do not know that Portland actually has a pretty dark history - crime riddled the streets. In the 1950s on Portland’s Northwest side, a seemingly ordinary accountant is found dead in a locked room with no motive, no suspects, no gun. The police don’t have the resources to solve this mystery, so they call your team of Private Investigators, one of the best in the business to help. Do you have what it takes to solve the crime involving money, betrayal, mobsters and femme fatales? Will you solve the case, or will you let the trail go dark?

Highlights/Your Opinion/Review:

From the moment you step into the room, you feel like you’ve stepped into a Noir film. The friendly staff get into character which adds to the quality of the room. You are challenged by realistic puzzles that fit with the theme and are surprised by secret doors and entrances. I was engaged the whole time and I was pleasantly surprised by the complexity of the last puzzle.  Out of all the rooms I’ve done in Portland, this is by far my favorite and a must do when exploring the PNW.
