The Basement

Chapter 1: The Basement

Edward Tandy, a cannibalistic serial killer, has kidnapped you and your friends. He has caged all of you in the basement of his deceased mother’s home. You and your friends have 45 minutes to escape his SAW-like basement or be eaten by Tandy.

Highlights/Your Opinion/Review:

There is a reason why The Basement is considered one of the best escape room of all times; it is not because of the puzzles, but the mind games. The puzzles in the room are not intricate. Most of the game play felt like a big scavenger hunt. However, this requires players to test their bravery by reaching in to traps and searching in dark places. This will eventually play with the player's mind as they progress through the room. The set and acting of The Basement has to be Hollywood quality. From the realistic decor of the room to the live actor that comes out to help the players escape, The Basement set is believable to the point that players think that they are actually going to be eaten at the end if they do not escape. Overall, if you enjoy the adrenaline rush of creepy and horror, The Basement is a must.

Fun Facts:

  • The Basement has two different versions of puzzles so players can come back and replay the game.
